Terms and Conditions

1. General Information
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern the contractual relationship between Masters Cutlery and customers using the online shop at masterscutlery.com. By placing an order, you acknowledge these terms. Deviating conditions are not recognized unless expressly agreed.

2. Contractual Partner, Conclusion of Contract
The sales contract is concluded with Masters Cutlery. The presentation of products on the website constitutes a non-binding invitation to order. By submitting an order, you make a binding offer to purchase. Order confirmation, sent automatically, does not constitute acceptance. The contract is formed upon our explicit acceptance or by shipping the goods.

3. Prices and Payment Terms
All prices are final and include statutory VAT. Shipping costs are listed separately during checkout. Payment is due immediately. We accept various payment methods as indicated. For prepayment, delivery occurs after receipt of payment. The customer is responsible for any bank fees.

4. Shipping and Delivery
Delivery occurs to the address provided. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Partial deliveries are permitted. The risk of loss transfers to the customer upon handover to the shipping carrier.

5. Retention of Title
Goods remain our property until full payment is received.

6. Right of Withdrawal for Consumers
Consumers have the right to withdraw from the contract within fourteen days without giving a reason. The withdrawal period begins upon receipt of goods (or the last item in a shipment). To exercise this right, send a clear statement (e.g., via post or the contact form). We will provide a model withdrawal form. The deadline is met if sent before the period expires. The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to customer specifications or sealed goods unsuitable for return for health/hygiene reasons if unsealed.

7. Return Process Following Withdrawal
In case of withdrawal, goods must be returned promptly and within fourteen days of notification. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. The customer is liable for diminished value from unnecessary handling. We refund payments using the original method, without fees, immediately after receiving goods or return proof.

8. Warranty and Liability
We provide a statutory warranty for defects. For businesses, the warranty period is 12 months from delivery. Our liability for damages is unlimited for intent, gross negligence, injury to life/body/health, under the Product Liability Act, and for guarantees assumed. For ordinary negligence, liability is limited to foreseeable, typical damages, except for breaches of cardinal obligations. This does not affect mandatory legal liability.

9. Data Protection
Personal data is processed according to our Privacy Notice, which is part of these terms.

10. Final Provisions
The contract is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this applies only to the extent not overriding mandatory provisions of their country of residence. The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform. We are not obligated to participate in dispute resolution before a consumer arbitration board. The place of jurisdiction for disputes with merchants is our registered office.

11. Severability Clause
If any provision is or becomes invalid, the validity of the remaining terms remains unaffected.
